Subramaniam R Iyer FCA FCS ACMA is a 66 year old professional based in New Delhi. He graduated from Shri Ram College of Commerce Delhi University in 1977.

He had a ten year stint in two large private sector companies in senior positions in the Finance and Secretarial Departments where he worked extensively in the fields of accounting, finance, banking , company law, excise cases, foreign exchange management and securities laws. He took the company public in 1988 and handled all the negotiations with financial institutions and banks for term loans and working capital finance. .

Since 1992 he has been a consultant and is a co- founder and designated partner of Amtrak Consultants LLP. Along with his partners in this firm he has helped several projects get off the ground from the planning stage till the final funding and set up of the project. They have helped a few companies get listed on national stock exchanges.

On the advisory front, he has been consulted by several corporates in matters involving statutory authorities such as Registrar of Companies/SEBI/RBI/FIPB/Income Tax , corporate governance , frauds, restructuring of loans and businesses, mergers and valuations, and sale of promoters stake in both listed and unlisted listed companies.

He has also, in the past years, conducted brief teaching and training stints in seminars /professional courses and for bankers and government organisations . These have been in the areas of tax laws, accounting standards , and finance and accounts.
